Trump Fundraising Strategy: Pushing Republicans to the Wall Ahead of 2022 Elections

Facebook, the same platform that banned Donald Trump, is helping him win big donation money for his potential 2024 presidential run.

Not only this, but he was also restricted through the law to use his existing campaign money to finance another run for the White House.

So, he needed money badly for his next campaign, and his team did not disappoint him.

As he has successfully dodged both of these barriers by continuing collecting millions of dollars using Facebook through alternative means, Republicans are the real losers, as they will surely fall short of their fundraising targets.

Although Trump is banned on Facebook, however, his political action committee is leaving no stone unturned to win big money using the platform.

Banned from Facebook but not from Fundraising

Save America, the primary Political Action Committee of Donald Trump, uses the money to make money by embracing paid advertisements.

By spending more than $100,000 every week on Facebook advertising and luring people through the popular Republican narrative that “Trump is the true president,” the PAC is serving the purpose which Trump was supposed to do otherwise.

And Facebook is clueless in stopping these efforts, as the platform banned Trump but not his campaign in its entirety.

At the end of the day, any money collected through this method can finance his logistics, rallies, and travel that will ultimately help him in making a mark in politics once again.

The amount of money he is currently collecting remains grey since his campaign is bound to report them only twice a year to the Federal Election Commission.

However, according to the latest filings in July, he managed to collect over $100 million using his three primary fundraising methods.

While Trump is basically focusing on paid advertisement using social media to win political donations, he is also pursuing fundraisers and email marketing to hit big and get all the money which Republicans would get

But this is not the only way he is financing his campaign account. In fact, he is using an all-inclusive strategy of fundraisers, text messages, and email marketing to collect money that often goes as high as $2 million per week.

This is the classic example of link-building with political donors who can turn the tides for politicians even in their worst times.

Nobody thought after the January 6 Capitol Hill episode that the former president would be able to win this much money again, but the ability of his campaign to lure donors using fancy slogans has made it possible.

Despite the fact that many Republicans are now distancing themselves from him, he is getting more donations than all of them combined.

While the National Republicans Senatorial Committee had only won about $30 million by September, the National Republicans Congressional Committee got nearly $65 million.

With the possession of this much money in his hands, he is getting unprecedented leverage over Congressional Republicans to exploit them in future elections.

This is an unprecedented situation in US politics as well since no president after Herbert Hoover has tried to run for the second term after losing reelection.

While he failed to win the second term, however, Trump has something he did not have, the mad money.

Trump has Found his Niche of Winning Donations to Hurt Republicans

“If we don’t solve the Presidential Election Fraud of 2020 (which we have thoroughly and conclusively documented), Republicans will not be voting in 2022 or 2024. I need YOU to donate at least $45 to bolster our Protect our Elections Fund.”

It seems that Trump has found his niche of money-making, a narrative that is selling and generating results for him.

Without having any rationale, people donate to this slogan, despite the fact that all election audits have proven faulty one after another.

Whether Trump will be able to win the trust of voters once again remains questionable, but in the bigger picture, he is damaging the GOP in general.

Republicans are worried about the money going away from them to Trump one year before the midterm elections.

Republican strategists believe that Trump played dirty in snatching money away from the mainstream politicians who are actually eyeing to run for elections in the long run.

Currently, the former president is making money to conduct voter fraud audits; however,  little has been spent on that purpose. He tricks people into donating by walking the popular Republicans narrative of “Stop the Steal” to get their funds for his next campaign.

Final Thoughts

This era of fake advertisements has also questioned the political loyalties of Facebook, which has often claimed to defend freedom of speech.

Mark Zuckerberg was even grilled over this issue when he claimed that advertisements on the platform are not being fact-checked.

The GOP has to find immediate ways to fix the donation problems; otherwise, once Trump launches his own social media app Truth Social, he can completely put Republicans out of the game of getting donations.
